New Tournament Coming To Saskatoon

SASKATOON – The inaugural U18AAA Saskatchewan Hockey Classic tournament is set for December 26-31 at Merlis Belsher Place in Saskatoon.

The new tournament – which is designed to showcase U18AAA players at a world-class facility in Saskatoon – will debut with teams from Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta.

Pool A will feature: Saskatoon Blazers, Eastman Selects (U18AAA Manitoba), Estevan Bears. Pool B will include: Prince Albert Mintos, Grand Peace Athletic Club (U18AAA Alberta, Grande Prairie), Tisdale Trojans.

With a three-game guarantee and the semi-finals on Dec. 30, the final will be Dec. 31 at 3 p.m. (Complete tournament draw below.)

The tournament – which is being funded/organized by a new private entity in Saskatchewan – will also feature an enhanced player experience that is designed to showcase their skills while also giving them a unique experience off the ice.

This includes cutting-edge videos and photos on social media, an enhanced broadcast feed and player-only amenities and experiences at the rink.
