SASKATOON – Highly sought-after Indigenous artist Chris Chipak has created the logo for the inaugural Saskatchewan Hockey Classic.
The new U18AAA hockey tournament will be December 26-31 at Merlis Belsher Place, featuring teams from across the Prairies. Local fans will have a chance to see future NHLers today – as there are 30 SMAAAHL products in the NHL today. The league also produced TWO 1st-round NHL draft picks in 2025.
Born in Meadow Lake and now living in Saskatoon, Chipak has created artwork for MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment), CFL and NBA. He has also been named Wanuskewin’s Artist in Residence for January 2026.
