Goalie of the Month for October 2022:
October was a big month for Logan Edmonstone as he backstopped the Saskatoon Contacts in five games, winning all five games. The rookie goaltender was a brick wall throughout the month as two of his five wins were shutouts, and he posted an outstanding .959 save percentage in those starts. Edmonstone, born in 2007 and a draft pick of the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League was thrust into the starting role for the month of October as veteran Saskatoon Contact netminder Chase Wutzke represented the Saskatoon Contacts and the league at the World U17 Hockey Challenge winning a silver medal. Edmonstone took advantage of his opportunity and was outstanding in the month of October which earned him the SMAAAHL Goaltender of the Month for October.
