A special congratulations to our SMAAAHL's Saskatoon Contacts for their 2004-2005 championship team being recently inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame. They were honored at the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame dinner last Saturday evening. Their accomplishments were as follows:
2004 Mac’s Invitational Midget AAA Hockey Tournament in Calgary, Alberta
2004 – 2005 SMAAAHL League Champions with a season record of 38 wins 3 losses 2 ties and 1 overtime loss.
2004 – 2005 SMAAAHL Provincial Champions with a record of 9 wins and 3 loss during play-offs.
2005 AAA Midget Western Champions with a record of 4 wins and 1 overtime loss.
That year's team is suitably lead by their team Captain Cody Danburg, Assistance Captains - Brady Wacker, Ryan Adams, Scott Brownlee, and the league scoring Champion Kyle Bortis.
The team’s motto has always been“ Creating Citizens and Hockey Players of Tomorrow ” which that year’s team provided full testament to.
